Strada Expands Triangle Studio with Multidisciplinary Designer Bronwyn Charlton

Strada, a leading cross-disciplinary design firm, is pleased to announce the hiring of Bronwyn Charlton as an Associate for its growing Triangle Studio. Strada’s mission is to create meaningful experiences through the environments and engagements it designs, and Charlton’s extensive experience in diverse project types brings a unique perspective to the design process.

Charlton is a highly regarded multidisciplinary designer with a diverse background in public health, costume design, political science, and creative writing. As a first-generation American who has lived in six states and three countries, she brings a wealth of experience and cultural perspectives to her work. Her deep appreciation for the world’s diversity and magnificence informs her creative approach to problem-solving.

“We are thrilled to welcome Bronwyn to our team,” said Melissa Wolter, Senior Associate. “Her multidisciplinary background, passion for innovative design, and commitment to excellence will be invaluable to our Studio as we continue to build our presence in the Triangle.”

Charlton firmly believes in combining analytical and creative thinking to achieve the best possible outcomes. She understands that innovative ideas must be grounded in practical reality to be achievable and that unconventional solutions can be the key to solving complex problems. Charlton’s experience includes working on large-scale, technically demanding projects such as university science and health laboratory buildings, as well as on smaller, more personalized projects such as custom-built single and multi-family homes.

As the founder and principal architect of Charlton Architecture, Bronwyn has worked on a broad range of projects, from designing a recording studio and a wine-tasting venue to developing master plans for a co-housing community. Her extensive experience in diverse project types has given her a unique perspective on the design process, allowing her to approach each new challenge with fresh insight and creativity.

Charlton’s attention to detail and commitment to quality are evident in all of her work, from initial design concepts to final construction documents. She is a skilled communicator and collaborator, working closely with clients, contractors, and other design professionals to ensure that each project is completed on time and within budget.

“I am thrilled to be joining Strada and look forward to contributing to its continued success,” said Charlton.
