Strada’s expansion in recent years has provided the opportunity for several team members to demonstrate their talent and leadership within the firm. Strada is pleased to recognize these individuals with new leadership roles and responsibilities.
Senior Associates
Sean Beasley, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, and Mason Radkoff, CSI/CCCA, LEED AP BD+C, will take on the role of Senior Associate, a new level of leadership at Strada.
Sean joined the firm in 2003 and since has distinguished himself on projects involving historic preservation and adaptive reuse. He served as the architect for the award-winning Dollar Bank Renovation as well as Market Square Place, a complex mixed-use project that has breathed new life into the historic square and spurred subsequent revitalization in downtown Pittsburgh. Sean is now leading a dramatic transformation of the former Salvation Army Building into the Distrikt Hotel, due to be completed in 2016.
Mason also joined the firm in 2003, and has amassed over 25 years of experience as a carpenter, cabinetmaker, construction administrator and most recently, novelist. He plays a pivotal role at Strada as a construction specialist, overseeing construction administration for significant projects, managing relationships with owners, contractors and design teams, and mentoring younger staff members on the intricacies of construction details and documentation. He is currently keeping tabs on a new commercial building under construction at Bakery Square 2.0.

Strada is also celebrating three new Associates:
Rob Dower, RA, LEED AP, excels as both an Architect and Planner with a particular acumen for developing contextual solutions that foster vibrant city life. Rob led the design and construction of Bakery Living, a 175-unit residential project in Bakery Square, part of Pittsburgh’s East Liberty neighborhood. He is now working on multiple projects, including new offices for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the makeover of a residential complex at the Allegheny Center, also in Pittsburgh.
Abby Mountain, RA, AICP, LEED AP, also trained as both an Architect and Planner, thrives in shaping practical, high-quality designs that emphasize community vitality. Her recent projects vary widely from the renovation of academic spaces at West Virginia University, to a new facility for the Animal Rescue League and the renovation of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Pittsburgh.
Claudia Saladin, ASLA, LEED AP BD+C ND, provides a unique insight and invaluable resource to Strada projects by drawing upon her training in landscape architecture and environmental law. She was instrumental in the design and construction of Bakery Square 2.0, the most extensive piece of green infrastructure in Pittsburgh to date. Claudia also worked on the award-winning Riverfront Park in Pittsburgh and Dick’s Sporting Goods’ headquarters in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.
Office Manager
Since 2000, Mary Jo Fullen has been an integral part of Strada and has taken on increasing responsibility. In her new position as the firm-wide Office Manager, Mary Jo oversees Strada’s administrative staff, communications, facilities, record keeping, construction document tracking and management, and specification processing. Mary Jo keeps the firm running smoothly so that we can do what we do best—make great places for people.
