a state-of-the-art coworking space designed for the 21st century

Formerly the HQ for the Americus Republican Club of Pittsburgh, The Beauty Shoppe was truly a transformational project. We started out with a 100-year-old structure complete with load-bearing walls, uneven floors, and a chopped up floor plan. Existing spaces were mostly muddled leaving only the large window and the entry colonnaded space.

Strada restored the grand nature of this space to create a network of neighborhood co-working and office spaces, designed for individuals, small businesses, and enterprise-level corporations.

The end result was the design of a stylish and sophisticated co-working space. Taking full advantage of the existing spaces, we created a seamless flow between the work spaces and communal spaces to achieve a comfortable flow for tenants and guests to work throughout the floor. The Beauty Shoppe features an inviting lobby that doubles as an entertaining space, a conference room off of the colonnade, flex offices, and communal desks.
