A University Incubator Fostering Entrepreneurial Innovation
Temple University is entering the Philadelphia technology and science space with this fundamentally entrepreneurial new facility. Less a research lab and more an entrepreneurial incubator, its’ function is to take ideas that have been developed by university faculty to a commercial level.
The iNest provides office space for emerging companies and dedicated research facilities encompassing wet labs, computer rooms, and dry lab spaces. Beyond incubator space, the iNest holds the administrative offices for the Vice President of Research at Temple, gathering spaces, and public-facing pitch space. The renovation also includes a student life center, further enhancing the campus environment.
Temple’s ambitious aspiration to cement themselves in the technology corridor on North Broad Street makes this project ideal for Strada’s cross disciplinary process. From programming and lab design through furniture selection and custom branding, the Strada team created a space made to last.
