Shifted Perspectives

Avid Radiopharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Eli Lilly & Company, is a homegrown Philadelphia success story. Dedicated to the early diagnostic and therapeutics for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, Avid was formed out of the University City Science Center’s life science incubator.

Avid was the first tenant to occupy 3711 Market upon its completion in 2008. Since that time Avid has expanded to occupy 37,500 sq. ft. comprising of offices, shared collaboration, highly sophisticated biology and radiopharmaceutical labs, and a vivarium. Our design theme for Avid’s transformation is titled “Shifted Perspectives.” This was informed by a desire to completely rethink Avid’s home in the face of shifting post-pandemic work habits. It’s reflected in the dynamic shapes used throughout including angled soffits and diagonal lighting.

The resulting renovation prioritizes wellness and health by incorporating ergonomic furniture, ample spaces for focused work, the strategic inclusion of plants and natural materials, and shared access to natural light.
