A renovation for International outreach and support

The dual mission of Penn Global is to welcome foreign students arriving at Penn and to inform current students of the many educational programs that are available around the world. This facility serves as a student advisory, research and support center to advance Penn’s growing international profile and global initiatives.

The goal of the renovation was to create a fresh, inviting, contemporary environment that welcomes and embraces students. The redesign of the space explored opportunities to reorganize and better utilize the interior spaces, reducing physical and spatial barriers.

The resulting Penn Global student services facility embraces a more open office environment with clustered work pods, shared amenities, a lounge café, a town meeting conference room and a mix of quiet meeting rooms. The space was branded with digital screens and graphic art panels illustrating the wide range of global study opportunities and initiatives.
