Abby Mountain



Abby possesses nearly 15 years of experience with planning and design for numerous institutions and organizations. She has worked on a combination of urban planning, master planning, and interior architecture projects. At Strada, she contributed to the master plan for the Barco Law School at the University of Pittsburgh, and subsequently an award-winning renovation of the school’s library. Abby also contributed to several urban planning projects at Strada including the Fifth and Forbes District and the Hermitage, PA Master Plan. At WTW Architects, she developed campus master plans for Gannon University in Erie, PA and Alfred State College in Alfred, NY. She also designed student center interiors for Bowie State University and the University of Houston while at WTW.

Most recently, Abby designed and managed numerous multi-phase renovation projects for West Virginia University and collaborated with the Animal Rescue League to design their new headquarters on a former industrial site in the Homewood neighborhood. Abby manages all of these projects with a blend of practicality, savoir-faire, and a zest for good design, collaborating with clients to raise standards for design quality and community vitality.

Abby holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design, a Bachelor of Architecture, and a Bachelor of Science from Kent State University. In her free time, she loves reading, gardening, and saving the world from super villains with her two children and husband.
