Part Two – Prologue: The Birth of Strada
By Alan Jesse “Al” Cuteri
The past is unchangeable and the future unknowable, therefore I have always believed in living fully in the present—while building with intention for what lies ahead.
I see Strada’s future as long, strong, and purposeful. The firm will continue to define its path through the commitment, character, and leadership of those entrusted with its direction, as well as through the daily contributions of the diverse professionals who call Strada home. The future of Strada will be shaped not only by circumstance but also by the vision, discipline, and values of its people.
Strada’s culture has always been its greatest strength. It is deeply rooted in collaboration, trust, and a shared respect for the power of design. This culture will continue to foster innovation, thoughtful risk-taking, and meaningful growth. Strada was never intended to be defined by a single voice or personality, but by a collective spirit that values the team above the individual and shared success above recognition.
I have complete confidence in the partners who now lead the firm. Their leadership over the past 25 years has demonstrated integrity, creativity, and resilience. Their ongoing stewardship will ensure that Strada continues to evolve while remaining true to its founding values.
Though some moments in our history may appear serendipitous, Strada’s success has never been accidental. It has always been the result of dedicated people committed to excellence in their craft and loyalty to one another.
The future of Strada is secure in the hands of those who carry its values forward.
Sincerely,
Al
