Student Co-Op Interior Designer

Strada is seeking a Student Interior Designer currently pursuing a degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver, thought leader, and experience shaper who works with others in a collaborative and intentional way. 

Responsibilities 

  • Provides design support to project team members which may include development of design, detailing, finish selection, and furnishings
  • Prepares presentation materials and 3D model development for client presentations.
  • Assists with information gathering relative to programming analysis, space plans and area calculations
  • Participates in product specifications research, selection, and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, materials, equipment, and lighting
  • Assists in material library updates and daily upkeep; works with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to ensure our library is up to date 

Desired Skills and Abilities 

  • Pursuing a professional degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Previous co-op or internship experience a plus
  • A strong design sensitivity demonstrated through student portfolio work
  • A facility for CAD and BIM software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic  
  • Basic understanding of interior design theory and application              
  • Proactive, resourceful self-starter who can multi-task 
  • Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas

This co-op position is temporary full-time, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week for the period of September 22, 2026, through March 26, 2027.  The rate of pay for this position is $21.00 per hour. No benefits are available except where required by law.
