When my fiancee, Kendall, and I rode our bicycles on the Great Allegheny Passage and C&O Towpath all the way from Pittsburgh to Washington DC I learned a lot about myself, found a new passion, and overcame a lot of obstacles both physical and circumstantial. As someone whose interest in architecture comes from a love of cities, tall buildings, and dense urban streets; this trip gave me an appreciation for small towns and rural communities which has stuck with me ever since.
