The focal point of The Franklin Institute’s new LEED-Silver building addition is “Your Brain,” a dynamic new exhibit that transports visitors to the scientific frontier of human brain exploration. A vibrant Street Scene at the heart of the exhibit lets visitors experience their brains in action as they navigate a dizzying array of colors, patterns, shapes, and sounds.
The 1,700-SF Street Scene is designed to completely overwhelm the visitor’s senses. Dozens of optical illusions and mind-boggling experiences are seamlessly integrated into store facades, windows, and interiors.
“Turn Your World Upside Down” is a 3D experience that literally rotates the room 360 degrees. Guests of Sara Bellum’s Inn are equally off balance as they navigate a room tilted at 45 degrees.
Strada “master planned” the street, and designed all of the buildings, graphics, signs, and illusions, creating a densely layered experience that causes visitors to marvel at the capacity of the brain and wonder about its potential.
