About Strada

Strada means “street” in Italian. Streets matter to us. They’re the fundamental infrastructure of our cities and the core of our civic lives. They’re the connections between buildings, people, and public spaces. This is why we’re so inspired by them and it’s a shared commitment to these values that brought our principals together. Just as people mingle on city streets, our office is a place where we freely exchange ideas, challenging and inspiring one another to create exceptional work.

Using an open floor plan to foster communication

About the project

The new offices of Energy Plus reflect the firm’s desire for an open environment and feature extensive daylighting and beautiful views of the city. Dispelling the notion of enclosed spaces, the open floor plan incorporates floor-to-ceiling glass partitions that delineate conference rooms. Executives share the same size workstations as interns. Alcoves with soft seating and a convenient café/lounge provide informal gathering areas for meeting and relaxation. Highly efficient light fixtures with light and motion sensors reduce energy consumption. A spacious reception area greets visitors with unobstructed views of the suite and bustling street life beyond.
