About Strada

Strada means “street” in Italian. Streets matter to us. They’re the fundamental infrastructure of our cities and the core of our civic lives. They’re the connections between buildings, people, and public spaces. This is why we’re so inspired by them and it’s a shared commitment to these values that brought our principals together. Just as people mingle on city streets, our office is a place where we freely exchange ideas, challenging and inspiring one another to create exceptional work.

Forming space for work and play at the river's edge

About this project

The new office building for Del Monte Foods was an important component of the North Shore District as it re-established itself in the early 2000s. This six-story 285,000-SF building continued the urban scale established by PNC Park and the Equitable Resources building, and connects North Shore Drive to the riverfront park by way of a pedestrian court with views to the river and skyline. The court is defined by a vaulted ceiling that is illuminated after dark to create a public space that can be enjoyed day and night. The Signature Class A corporate facility includes restaurants and retail on the first floor which are especially lively on game days.
