Architecture Intern

Strada, a multi-disciplinary design firm, is seeking an Architecture Intern for our Pittsburgh studio.

Our cross-disciplinary approach to design is immersive, human-centric, and diverse. We actively leverage the expertise and talents from the variety of disciplines within our three studios to achieve exceptional results for our clients.

Candidates should be willing to learn and contribute to the design process. We look for individuals who are talented and passionate about their work. We help you cultivate your talents as part of the design team.

We are seeking designers with strong design capabilities who are interested in sharing their talent with others at Strada. We would love to know about your other life interests, hobbies, passions, and talents as we find these attributes contribute to our design culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in the collaborative design process
• Research material and systems for integration into design solutions
• Prioritize tasks while responding to changing needs and schedules
• Develop facility with 3D modeling and design software
• Prepare presentation materials
• Assist team members in construction detailing and production
• Proactively maintain and prioritize deadlines

Requirements, Skills, and Abilities

• Degree from a NAAB-accredited program
• Strong design sensitivity
• Ability to assess information and translate it into creative solutions
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proactive, resourceful self-starter
• Passionate about learning and growing professionally
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Familiarity with CAD and/or BIM software
• Previous design firm experience a plus plus
