Fresh ideas about design
Strada is delighted to announce that Bakery Living I, the lively new residential building it designed in Pittsburgh’s East End, received a Best in American Living Award (BALA) from the National Association of Home Builders. BALA winners were announced on January 25, 2016 in Las Vegas.
Bakery Living took top honors in the category, “Development of 5 Stories & Over, For Rent,” earning a Platinum award. The jury applauded the project for nurturing a culture of social interaction through a series of shared spaces that total over 9,000 SF. An open courtyard, indoor/outdoor swimming pool, a grill terrace, bar, and game room, fitness center, and bike trails are just a few of the uber cool amenities that residents get to enjoy right in the blossoming Bakery Square neighborhood.
Strada designed the project for Walnut Capital and PJ Dick was the builder. The same core team has been working to deliver Bakery Living Blue, a complementary residential building next door, which is scheduled to open in June 2016.
